Traditional Owners from all over Australia, as well as New Zealand, met in November 2016 in Bribie Island, Queensland, Australia to discuss their shared interest in getting involved with research and restoration work on their traditional oyster reefs. Seeing the decline in primary productivity of resources essential to their livelihood and culture, all of the stakeholders made important testimonies describing the processes at play. This video is a summary of the thoughts and contributions offered during this important workshop organised by the National Environmental Science Programme - Marine Biodiversity Hub, TropWater at James Cook University Townsville, the Nature Conservancy and Healthy Land & Water.
